As summer approaches, mothers and dads start making plans for “What to do with the kids?” Sometimes there is sibling sitting involved or some babysitting jobs to earn money for vacation spending, ice cold treats or other summer pleasures.
First, the parents have to decide if their child is old enough to be responsible for other children. There isn’t a federal law specifying the age for babysitting. Some states have laws but Arizona doesn’t. In a Google search, 12 is the age that comes up most often. However, there are plenty of notices that it is the maturity level of the tween that matters, not the calendar date.
