Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI’s BLS has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
Intended Audience: HSI BLS program is designed for individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have a professional-level basic life support training.

The AHA certification requires a different training. The most flexible way to get the AHA BLS training is with blended learning. That means that you would complete the videos and quizzes online and then you can make an appointment with Staying Alive LLC to do the hands-on part of the training to complete the certification.
