Empower Your Children with Lifesaving Skills

By Staying Alive Leave a Comment

While we ask that only people over 12 years of age attend a training class, we don’t believe that is when you should start teaching your child about emergencies. Evaluate your child’s comprehension skills and concentration to determine when to begin their training.

  • Young children who are often tech savvy should know the importance of a 911 call.

  • Children should be aware of the emergency numbers that you have posted in various locations in your home and office.

  • Children should be taught the “Stop, Drop & Roll” method to put out clothing fires.

Here is a well written article from HSI, one of our primary training vendors, about emergency training for children.

There are coloring books to assist you! These links are for Amazon but the books are available from other retailers.
