Did you know that 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes?
Statistically speaking, if you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a spouse, a parent, a child or a friend.
Staying Alive is encouraging participation from you, a member of our community.
We’re pleased to support the American Heart Association and its important mission to increase survival from cardiac arrest. We are asking all members within our community to please take a CPR class and become a guardian angel.
In just 90 seconds, you can learn the two simple steps to Hands-Only CPR. Click here to watch the Hands-Only CPR video.
The Hands-Only CPR method is geared for specific collapse situations. The standard CPR we teach is for heart and/or breathing situations. Everyone should know both and be able to recognize the situation for each method.
Please watch the video below any day June 1-7. Then, share this important video link with your community of family and friends and tag us on your posts on Facebook, (@AHACPR) and Twitter (@HeartCPR) using the hashtag, #CPRWithHeart.
Thank you for joining a Nation of Heartsavers™ / Guardian Angels today!
